Sachem Teen Advisory Group

The Sachem Public Library started the Teen Advisory Group in order to bring the voice of the teen to the services and programming that the library has to offer. All who participate in the Teen Advisory Group receive community service hours for their help. We hope to help and build the community in and beyond the Sachem Public Library Teen Services Department.

Some of the most recent things that the Teen Advisory Group has done include:

• Book suggestions
• Artist's Cafe program
• Artwork on display in the Young Artist's Gallery
• Suggestions for new computer games to be installed
• Movies to watch during Movies and Munchies
• Activities for the Annual Teen Tech Week Lock-In
• Caring Hearts Packages for terminally ill children in a hospital
• Greeting cards for Seniors in local nursing homes
• Care packages for Troops deployed over seas
